Research & Development

In collaboration with various universities, the founding team of ecolus has carried out several research and development projects at both national and international levels. 

A key part of their successful research strategy has been the early identification of research potential, proactive planning, and the systematic acquisition of third-party funding. 

As part of this approach, ecolus conducts application-oriented projects focused on sustainable and energy-efficient building. 

The goal is to combine relevant insights from science and industry while placing the needs of building users at the center. 
The following overarching research topics are explored through simulation and demonstration projects, with a strong emphasis on life cycle assessment: 

• Digital climate adaptation strategies for buildings 

• Sustainable energy concepts for existing buildings, new constructions, and urban districts
